SIMA of IPB, Smart Application for Asset Management Effectiveness

Along with the development of information technology, the use of internet was at the moment also growing, one of them was the media of asset management of an institution. As an initial step, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized the socialization of the application of Asset Management Information System (SIMA) of IPB by online, Monday (7/12). The activity followed by every unit of IPB was located in the auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasoetion, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor.

Socialization activities were delivered by Director of Development of Facilities and Infrastructure of IPB, Dr. Erizal together with the team of SIMA of IPB. He explained that the online-based application of SIMA aimed to make the asset data collection in written or physical in the field to be more accountable. During this time, the asset data collection of IPB was still done in the conventional way reported in the Ministry of Research and Higher Education of RI and Ministry of Finance of RI every year.

The application of SIMA of IPB was the standard template for reporting asset, so that the data being inputted were all uniform. This application was used to help the working unit in structuring the asset management especially in terms of recording and reporting of asset in IPB. The recording of asset by every unit would later be integrated by online on a central server. This method was expected to be able to support the asset management effectively. (AS)
