Tourism Objects of Agricultural Education
1. Cikabayan Garden (duration of 90 minutes)
- A tour around greenhouse
- Practice of planting crops on the field (e.g. Corn, peanuts, lettuce, peppers, etc.)
- Practice of planting in polybags (e.g. Chilli seeds, caisin, lettuce, etc.)
- Studying reproduction of plants (grafts, cuttings, grafting) while going around the garden.
2. Insect Museum (duration of 90 minutes)
- Familiarizing with the different types of insects and their role in life
- Learning to identify insects
- Watching videos of insects
- Making creative handcrafts from insects
3. Installation Garden of Medicinal Plants, IPB’s Bio-medicines (duration of 90 minutes)
- Familiarizing with the different types and groups of medicinal plants and their benefits
- Looking at the various processed products of medicinal plants (oil, capsules, syrups, etc.)
- Examples of medicinal plant reproducing practices
4. Animal Hospital (duration 120 minutes)
- Introduction to the Animal Hospital of IPB
- Demonstration of handling some sick animals
- Watching videos about animals
- Introduction to veterinary instruments
5. Tissue Culture of Plant Biotechnology (duration of 180 minutes)
- Introduction to tissue culture
- Training and practice of tissue culture for ornamental plants and vegetables
- Producing various creative plants using tissue culture techniques
