Intercafe Exhibits Its Fostered Small Medium Enterprises in Ratu Harbor

Applied Economics and Finance International Research Center (Intercafe), Institute of Research and Community Development (LPPM) IPB University exhibits its products in Small Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Exhibition in Cangehgar Field, Ratu Harbor, Sukabumi Regency (10-14/9). This exhibition is the fruit of the partnership between the Government of Sukabumi Regency and Sookmyung Women University, Korea.

Intercafe exhibits the products of four villages in Cisolok District, Sukabumi, which have been advised since 2018-2019 through the ‘Village Empowerment Project to Promote Sustainable Community Development through Innovative Integration of Science and Technology’ program.

In the fostering process, Intercafe’s role is to provide business and information and communication technology (ICT) trainings, and to assist in processed agriculture and fisheries product diversification, promotion, marketing, packaging design, online marketing, food safety training, and registration of Household Industry Product Permit (PIRT).

The Chairperson of Intercafe LPPM IPB University, Dr. Tanti Novianti said, “This is a form of Intercafe’s contribution to community service, especially to members of Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) to improve family welfare through local agriculture and fisheries products processing and marketing.”

The statement is emboldened by the head of the exhibition committee and representative of Intercafe team, Dr Lukitawaty Anggraeni. “Intercafe’s involvement in the exhibition aims to promote fostered UMKM products so that they will get expanded market,” she said. (Ard)
