The Vocational School (SV) of IPB University again shows its commitment in expanding the global education network. Angga Prawira, a student of SV IPB University, since April 2025 has officially continued his studies at Chuo Joho Institute of Information Technology (CJI), Japan.

Previously, Angga who left for Japan in September 2024, then studied Japanese at CJI from October 2024 to February 2025. This was part of the implementation of the “3+2” education cooperation scheme signed by the two institutions in December 2023.

Angga is currently enrolled in the Business Design Study Program for a two-year study period with full support from the Nikkei Shimbun Scholarship. The scholarship includes a tuition fee waiver, dormitory facilities, and a monthly allowance of 153.600 yen.

As a follow-up, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CJI and Nikkei Shimbun to expand access to scholarships for 30 IPB University students from underprivileged families. This scholarship will fund education for 2,5 years until graduation.

Supporting this program, SV IPB University has also organized Japanese language training through the Vocational School Language Center, in collaboration with Pakuan University’s Japanese Studies Program. This training aims to improve the language competence of students who will go to Japan in filling the cooperation between these two institutions.

“This step is expected to strengthen the role of IPB University in producing graduates who are globally competitive and contribute to the development of international networks,” said Dean of IPB University Vocational School, Dr Aceng Hidayat. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RMH)
