IPB University Gives SUIJI-SLP Orientation Briefing in 2025

IPB University through the Directorate of International Education (DPI) in collaboration with the Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA) held an orientation briefing for the participants of the Six University Initiative Japan Indonesia – Service Learning Program (SUIJI-SLP) 2025. This orientation activity was conducted in the Academic Senate Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus (20/02).
SUIJI-SLP is a consortium program between six universities in Japan and Indonesia. These universities include Ehime University, Kagawa University, Kochi University, IPB University, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and Hasanuddin University. The SUIJI-SLP 2025 program carries the theme Sustainable Agromaritime Community Development towards Social Resilience through Student Contributions.
Director of International Education of IPB University, Puji Mudiana, SP, MA said this program will last until March 5, 2025. There are three locations that become SUIJI-SLP 2025 program partners, namely Sukajadi Village and Pasir Eurih Village located in Taman Sari District and Benteng Village, Ciampea District.
While in the field, participants will learn with the community, in order to enrich experience and culture. They are also expected to develop skills, especially in strengthening and developing the potential of local resources owned by the community.
“Alhamdulillah, this year IPB University students who applied to take part in the SUJI-LSP program reached 300 people. This number is very much increased compared to last year,” she said.
IPB University students involved in the SUIJI-LSP program were 36 people. Meanwhile, students from Japan consisted of 9 students from Ehime University, Kagawa University, and Kochi University. (IAAS/LAN)
