In an effort to expand international networks, the Department of Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) IPB University established a collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). 

This activity is part of the implementation of the tridarma of higher education, which involves lecturers, education staff, and undergraduate and master students of Forest Management Science (IPH) IPB University.

Dr Soni Trison, Chairman of the Department of Forest Management of IPB University, emphasized the commitment of his institution to continue to develop international cooperation that has a positive impact on the academic and professional development of students. 

“Through this collaboration, we hope to exchange experiences and build synergies in education and research that are relevant to future needs,” he explained.

The event included intensive discussions on joint research opportunities, curriculum development, and student exchange programs. The participants also gained first-hand insights into educational innovations at SIT, including the latest teaching technologies and practical approaches to environmental management.

As a symbol of close cooperation, IPB University presented a plaque of appreciation to SIT. With this collaboration, both institutions hope to strengthen their academic roles in addressing global challenges in the forestry and environmental sectors. (IAAS/RUM)
