An atmosphere full of warmth and joy enveloped Mulyaharja Educational Tourism Village, when IPB University inbound students held a farewell event which was the closing of their academic adventure for six months.

Not just a farewell, this activity is a celebration of the achievements of students in undergoing the odd semester student exchange program for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Director of International Education of IPB University, Puji Mudiana expressed her pride and appreciation for the active participation of inbound students in various academic and non-academic activities held during their stay at IPB University.

“We hope that the experience gained during the six months here will provide valuable provisions for your future,” she said.

She continued, this event was an opportunity for inbound students to experience a memorable educational tourism experience at Mulyaharja Educational Tourism Village. The students were invited to explore the lives of Indonesian farmers through various activities, such as planting rice, operating tractors, and even trying to catch fish in prepared rice fields.

“These activities gave them a deeper understanding of the local agricultural culture, as well as the importance of food security which is the main focus of IPB University,” said Puji Mudiana.

She said that the students seemed enthusiastic about participating in each series of activities. Some were even very skilled at operating tractors and catching fish, showing how quickly they adapted to rural life.

“This moment created unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime and symbolizes a colorful academic adventure. The inbound students not only learned about science in the classroom, but also experienced first-hand the social and cultural life of Indonesia,” she said. (*/Lp) (IAAS/RUM)
