Strengthen the Partnership Ecosystem, IPB University Holds Workshop and Intensive Monitoring
IPB University recently held an event entitled “Workshop and Monitoring of IPB University Cooperation”. This event aims to discuss and improve the cooperation management system at IPB University.
The event that presented speakers from The Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and The University of Indonesia (UI) was also attended by the Faculty/School from IPB University and IPB unit which aims to share practices and strategies to build stronger partnerships.
Integrated Approach
Dr Alfian Helmi, Director of Cooperation of IPB University, opened this activity by emphasising the importance of an integrated approach in cooperation management.
It aims to build a more integrated system that simplifies the process, improves data management, and increases the overall impact of the partnership.
“We want to create a system where all partnership activities, from initiation to completion, can be recorded and tracked seamlessly,” he said.
“This will allow us to measure performance better, identify areas for improvement, and make data-based decisions,” said Dr Alfian Helmi.
Learning from Peers
Dr Alfian Helmi also conveyed the importance of learning from the experience of other leading universities. “We will learn the best practices from UI and UGM. From UI, we will learn about UI cooperation strategy, and from UGM, we will learn about cooperation system integration,” he said.
One of the important points of this event is the idea of establishing a cross-university collaboration forum, as proposed by UI. This platform will facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among various higher education institutions, with the ultimate goal of contributing to national development.
IPB’s Commitment to Collaboration
This workshop is an opportunity for faculties/schools and units at IPB University to provide input in improving processes and procedures for the coming year. IPB University plans to integrate its partnership and financial system to increase the efficiency of administrative tasks.
In this workshop it is revealed that UGM has developed a platform called “Lentera” that integrates partnership management with financial systems, human resources, and assets. This platform has played an important role in helping efficiency and facilitating partnerships.
Meanwhile, UI has adopted a risk-based approach to classify collaboration into low, medium, and high risk categories. This classification helps to reduce the impact of bureaucracy that tends to be slow in its handling and ensures that high-risk collaborations receive the appropriate level of supervision.
“IPB University plans to establish a Grant Administration Service Centre (GASC) to improve services and accelerate cooperation services,” said Dr Alfian Helmi. (IAAS/TIA)
