Rector Arif Satria: IPB University Penetrates 2,200 International Publications
Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria mentioned that until 2024, IPB University publications have penetrated 2,200 international publications. This was conveyed in the National Seminar on IPB Research Results in 2024 (17/12).
The National Seminar on Research Results of IPB Year 2024 took place on December 17-20, 2024 at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor. This event is part of a series of activities of IPB Research and Innovation Week Year 2024.
“2024 became an extraordinary year for IPB University. The amount of research produced reached more than 1,400 research titles with a total funding of around Rp550 billion,” he said.
“IPB University’s research fields are still dominated by food, health, and technology and engineering, which are strategic focuses to answer the needs of society and the nation,” continued Prof Arif.
IPB University has achieved more than 2,200 international publications. This shows the contribution of IPB University in enriching global science.
“Not only that, a number of IPB University scientific journals have been successfully indexed by Scopus, a recognition of the quality and international reputation that we build together,” he said.
Rector also mentioned the development of a new building of IPB University, namely the building of a superior research laboratory unit, which was funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) worth 3 million USD or around Rp48.5 billion.
“This facility is expected to be a catalyst for the development of excellent research to support our mission as a techno-sociopreneurial university,” he explained.
In the IPB Research and Innovation Week 2024, IPB University will organize National and International Seminars for five days. The activity will be attended by 900 presenters with the theme “World-class Innovation Research, Prosperous Agromaritime Society”.
This activity is a place to share the results of research and community service. Prof Arif hopes that this seminar can strengthen cross-sector collaboration for the advancement of science, technology and innovation.
At that moment, the Rector also conveyed other achievements received by IPB University this year. Among others, Gold Winner in the Publication category, Silver Winner in the Research category, Silver Winner in the Community Service category, and Silver Winner in the Best SINTA Score category. A number of these awards were given by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) in Anugerah Diktisaintek 2024 on (13/12).
Other achievements include Rank 1 in Indonesia and 60th in the world in THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025, Rank 1 in the Research and Community Service Information Base (BIMA) program with 372 research proposals, Rank 1 in SDGs Action Awards from Bappenas for three consecutive years, and Rank 1 as BRIN’s Top Collaborator.
