IPB University again made an achievement by being ranked 1st in ASEAN in the QS Sustainability Ranking 2025 for Environmental Education criteria in the Environmental Impact category.

In the same ranking, IPB University also ranked first at the national level for the criteria of Environmental Education, Environmental Research, and Health and Wellbeing.

Overall, out of 1.743 universities in the world, IPB University is in position 440, with a total score of 64,5.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria expressed his gratitude for this achievement. “This award is achieved thanks to the contribution and participation of all IPB University citizens, namely lecturers, education staff, and students,” he said.

This achievement, said Rector, has strengthened the position of IPB University at the global level. Previously, based on THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025, IPB University successfully ranked 1st in Indonesia or 60th in the world.

Not long ago, IPB University also won an award as the best university in the awarding of Indonesia’s SDGs Action Awards 2024. This achievement was achieved by IPB University for three consecutive years during 2022-2024.

Mentioning the SDGs Action Awards, Prof Arif said that IPB University will continue to commit and contribute to accelerating the achievement of SDGs in Indonesia.

This, he continued, is in line with one of the main strategies, namely “IPB Hadir” in the utilization of agromaritime innovation 4.0. This step is carried out through the expansion of collaborative community service programs for the socio-economic resilience of rural communities within the framework of achieving SDGs. Until now, IPB has been present and partnered with 5.746 villages in Indonesia.

Prof Arif also said, IPB University will strive to realize various programs that focus on impact. (IAAS/RUM)
