IPB University Facilitates 598 Free Passports for Bachelor and Applied Bachelor Program Students

In supporting the internationalization of the academic community, IPB University through the Directorate of International Education presents various useful programs for outstanding students who are interested in studying abroad.
Some of the leading programs include Global Learning and Opportunity for Brilliance and Excellence (GLOBE), LinkedIn Learning, and the initiative of giving free passports.
Free Passport activity is a synergistic collaboration with Bogor Immigration Office. Since September 2024, IPB University has an Immigration Space in the International Student Center Building, Dramaga Campus.
Immigration Space provides passport making facilities for the IPB University academic community and also permit services for foreign students.
According to the Director of International Education, Puji Mudiana, SP, MA, the provision of this free passport reflects IPB University’s commitment to open up global opportunities, making it easier for students to participate in international activities such as further study, internship, student exchange, or other academic activities abroad.
The Free Passport program has been implemented in 8 batches throughout 2024. Here is the summary:
Batch 1: March 5, as many as 92 passports were given.
Batch 2: 8 and 13–17 May, a total of 58 passports.
Batch 3: 20–22 and 27–31 May, as many as 77 passports.
Batch 4: 3–7 and 10–14 June, with a total of 90 passports.
Batch 5: 19–21 and 24–25 June, with a total of 46 passports.
Batch 6: September 9, as many as 48 passports.
Batch 7: 23 and 30 September, with a total of 95 passports.
Batch 8: December 2 and 9, 92 passports.
This program gets high enthusiasm from students, especially those who have financial limitations but plan to participate in international exchange programs.
One of the beneficiary students, Moses Manda said, “I dream of continuing my studies and joining an exchange program abroad. This Free Passport program really helped me realize that dream. Thank you IPB University!”
The process of making a passport is facilitated through the immigration booth service at the International Student Center Building, IPB Dramaga Campus. This service also includes lecturers and educators.
The Directorate of International Education of IPB University targets to give 1.000 free passports to students in 2025 as part of the effort to support more students to the global stage. (*/Rz) (IAAS/TIA)
