Industry Gathering and Business Matching 2024: LKST IPB University Brings Together Inventors-Startups with Partners

The Institute of Science and Technology Area (LKST) IPB University held the Industry Gathering and Business Matching 2024. This event was held to bring together inventors and startups of IPB University with industry partners. A total of 21 inventors and 20 startups were present at the Startup Center Building, IPB Taman Kencana Campus, Bogor. (25-26/11).

Prof Erika B Laconi, Chief of LKST IPB University explained that in this activity, five cooperation agreements (SPK) from innovations by IPB University lecturers and students with industry partners would be signed. In addition, cooperation agreements were also established by six tenants, most of whom are alumni of IPB University

“LKST IPB University will never stop intermediating the results of invention research towards innovation,” she said. She also hopes that the results of IPB University’s innovations can have a positive impact and provide great meaning, both socially and economically.

IPB University Rector, Prof Arif Satria, in his speech revealed that one of IPB University’s visions is to become an innopreneur university, namely a university based on innovation that has an impact.

“In 2024, IPB University has produced 1.072 patents, 372 of which have been granted. IPB University’s Science and Techno Park (STP) has also assisted 438 startups with a success rate of more than 60 percent,” he explained.

He added that the number of startups incubated in 2024 was 56 startups. Currently, these startups have absorbed 986 workers with a total turnover of around 155 billion rupiah. “This is not a small number for a university,” he added.

Prof Ernan Rustiadi, Vice Rector of IPB University for Research, Innovation, and Agromaritime Development said, LKST IPB University is a bridge for startups and researchers with industry partners to continue developing their research and innovation. (AS/Rz) (IAAS/ASD)
