Improving Academic Services, Tendik SPs IPB University Participates in POB Internalization
IPB University through the Directorate of Academic, Education, and New Student Admissions (APPMB) together with the Postgraduate School (SPs) held an internalization of Standard Operating Procedures (POB) to all educational staff (tendik) in the academic services section of master and doctoral study programs. The activity was held at Leuweung Geledegan Ecolodge, Bogor (25/11) and attended by 110 participants.
The purpose of this activity is to strengthen the understanding and implementation of POB to support the quality of academic services within SPs IPB University. This activity is expected to be able to improve the understanding and performance of tendik in supporting various academic processes at SPs IPB, as well as building a better work spirit to realize superior academic services and integrity.
Dr Utami Dyah Syafitri as Director of APPMB IPB University delivered material related to various academic rules. She discussed the provisions of active students, the mechanism for filling out the study plan card (KRS), how to claim student activities, and the important role of operators in the Academic Information System (SIMAK).
“A deep understanding of the IPB Student Portal application by students and operators is an important first step in supporting the smooth running of the academic process,” said Dr Utami.
Meanwhile, Prof Yusli Wardiatno, Vice Dean of SPs IPB University for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, highlighted the importance of compliance with dozens of POBs that apply in SPs IPB University.
“Understanding the POBs in the SPs University environment is very important for tendiks in the academic services section. They are the ones who spearhead the POBs so that they can be adhered to by every stakeholder, thus ensuring the quality of academic processes at SPs IPB University is carried out very well,” added Prof Yusli.
The presence of Irvan Marthen, a motivator and alumni of IPB University class 28, gave a new spirit to the participants. In a motivational session, he inspired participants to always work with enthusiasm, discipline, responsibility, sincerity, and patience.
