Department of MSP IPB University Invited by Hainan University China, Presenting Research on DNA Metabarcoding
Department of Aquatic Resources Management (MSP) IPB University received a special invitation from Hainan University, China. This invitation was intended to be one of the presenters at The 1st International Conference on Ecological and Environmental Sustainable Development.
The activity was held in Hainan, precisely at Boao Asia Forum, Qionghai City, Hainan Province recently.
Dr Inna Puspa Ayu, a researcher from the MSP Department presented a research entitled “The Power of DNA Metabarcoding in Food Web Analysis”. On this occasion, Dr Inna’s presentation was well received by the participants.
Various questions arose from the audience, including some participants who had similar activities and asked for advice to support their research.
With the theme “Impacts of Climate and Socio-Economic Changes on Agriculture and Ecosystems”, the conference addressed a variety of important issues such as climate change, coastal and island ecosystems, biological invasions, ecological security, and ecosystem protection and restoration.
In addition, the latest research results and development trends in the field of ecology and environment were also the main topics of discussion.
In this activity, leading experts, scholars, and researchers in the field of ecology and the environment were present. This event also became a venue for in-depth scientific discussion and collaboration.
In addition, the conference also aimed to build a platform for collaboration and talent development in Asia, especially for researchers from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
“Through this activity, it is expected to produce strategic cooperation between IPB University and Hainan University as a real step in advancing the development of high-quality ecological civilization,” said Prof Hefni Effendi, Chairman of the MSP Department of IPB University.
