Rector’s Graduation Message: Honesty and Integrity are the Main Keys to Success
Graduation of IPB University Doctoral Education Program, Masters, Undergraduate funds Phase IV Academic Year 2024/2025 has been held at Grha Widya Wisuda Building (GWW), 30/10. This graduation was attended by 9 S3 students, 56 S2 students, 535 S1 students. The graduation was opened by the Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria.
Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, in his speech conveyed the importance of honesty and integrity. According to him, these two things are the main keys to one’s success.
Furthermore, he also explained three important messages for graduates to be able to respond to change. First, he emphasized that IPB University alumni must become true learners with a future mindset, namely becoming true learners with a growth mindset. According to him, the world is currently easy to change so that the abilities possessed by alumni must quickly increase.
“Therefore, remain a true learner. We can learn from anyone and anywhere, we can continue to grow by learning,” said Prof Arif.
Second, focus on future practice. “Who learns quickly, who has very high creativity, who has a powerful imagination, then he is the one who will win the game in the future,” he said.
The third message, the Rector invited the graduates to strengthen character, integrity, discipline, and good relations with others. “When you lose your money, you lose nothing. When you lose your health, you lose something. When you lose your character, you lose everything,” he said quoting a proverb.
Meanwhile, Chief of the National Nutrition Agency, D. Dadan Hindayana, congratulated the graduates and wished them success. He also welcomed the graduates as part of the big family of Alumni Association (HA) IPB University.
“Remember today is the beginning of a new journey in the midst of a changing world. Challenges are your opportunity to grow, continue to innovate to bring positive change,” he said.
The lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture of IPB University also added, “I hope you will become a champion and become a brilliant commander if you continue to develop your own character, continue to learn to be a fast learner.” (AS/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
