The Directorate of Student Affairs at IPB University held an appreciation event for 100 scholarship donors for 2024 at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor (13/11). The awards were presented to acknowledge the contributions of donors who have supported students’ education at IPB University.

IPB University’s Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana, emphasized the institution’s commitment to increasing the number of scholarship recipients each year. 

“As an educational institution, we are responsible for nurturing the nation’s best talents. We are committed to ensuring that no student fails to graduate due to financial constraints,” he said.

Prof Deni expressed his gratitude to the donors for their invaluable contributions. “We hope that in the coming years, students from all provinces in Indonesia can be represented as scholarship recipients. The donors’ support greatly helps our students to grow and achieve a brighter future,” he added.

Dr Ujang Suwarna, Director of Student Affairs at IPB University, reported on the 2024 scholarship achievements.  

The percentage of scholarship recipients compared to the total active students in diploma, undergraduate, and applied undergraduate programs reached 39,35%. A total of 10.600 students benefited from the support of 100 donor organizations, with total funding amounting to IDR 125,8 billion.

“On behalf of IPB University, we extend our deepest gratitude to the donors for their collaboration in providing scholarships to our students,” he stated.

Dr Ujang highlighted that the scholarship programs come from various donor sources and are managed through an integrated scholarship system on the IPB Student Portal.  

“This system ensures objectivity and accountability in the selection process, allowing scholarships to be awarded fairly and transparently to eligible students,” he explained.

Dr Ujang also encouraged donors to continue supporting students, enabling them to develop their potential and achieve future success.  

“This support is highly meaningful for our students in achieving higher academic and non-academic accomplishments,” he concluded.

A representative of the Tanoto Foundation, Yosea Kurnianto, expressed gratitude to IPB University for the ongoing collaboration.  

“This partnership is crucial to ensuring that our programs remain relevant and beneficial to IPB University,” he stated.

Yosea also emphasized the importance of innovative ideas in developing human resources, along with constructive collaboration and discussions.
