In encouraging the effectiveness of the use of funds, the Science and Technology Area Institute (LKST) IPB University conducted monitoring and evaluation (monev) for the Batch 4 Matching Fund Program (PDP) at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor (11/11).

Chief of LKST IPB University, Prof Erika B Laconi said that the program previously known as Matching Fund Kedaireka, since 2024 changed its name to Matching Fund Program.

She said that this program can accelerate the downstreaming of innovations produced by universities to partners, both industry and government, so that innovations can be implemented immediately.

“This program accepts various types of innovations that meet certain criteria and are ready to be commercialized,” she said.

Assistant for Innovation Development of LKST IPB University, Prof Dwi Guntoro said that the Matching Fund Program has two categories, namely Program A and Program B.

“Program A is focused on solving problems in the industry, while Program B is for community service, solving challenges at the community level,” he said.

Prof Dwi continued, the implementation of this program is divided into two terms, namely the first term of 70 percent and the second term of 30 percent. He said, for the disbursement of 70 percent of the initial funds must be accounted for through monev.

“The first monev was conducted internally, the results were uploaded to the Dikti online platform and then continued with external monev. The external monev is planned to be held at Gunadarma University. The remaining 30 percent disbursement will be given after the external monev is successfully completed,” he explained.

Prof Dwi hopes this program can encourage innovations produced by universities to be implemented more quickly and provide real benefits to partners and the wider community.

“This structured monev process also ensures accountability and efficiency in the use of funds, so that the program can run effectively and achieve the set goals,” he said. (dr/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
