SKHB IPB University Receives Visit from Yamaguchi University Japan Delegation
School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) IPB University received a visit from a delegation of Yamaguchi University Japan. This visit aims to improve relations and cooperation between SKHB IPB University and Yamaguchi University in the field of Animal Laboratory.
Dean of SKHB IPB University, Dr drh Amrozi welcomed the guests consisting of the Director of the Yamaguchi University Animal Center Lab, Dr Murata Tamoaki. On that occasion, a delegation from the Faculty of Medicine of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta was also present.
Chairman of the Animal Ethics Commission of SKHB IPB University, Prof drh Arief Boediono welcomed and explained the facilities in the SKHB environment, including the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Laboratory and Bio-Bank.
He further emphasized that in addition to facilities, other important factors are funding and human resources (HR). “The HR factor is an important factor behind successful management, because it is responsible for coordinating between lines so that there is no miscommunication,” he said.
Several lecturers and educational staff of SKHB IPB University were present and involved in the activity, including the Advisor of the Laboratory Animal Management Unit (UPHL) drh Tri Isyani Tungga Dewi, MSi, as well as Dr drh Mawar Subangkit and Dr drh Leny Maylina.
Furthermore, the Yamaguchi University delegation visited various facilities that support research activities including the Teaching Animal Hospital (RSHP), ART Laboratory and Bio-Bank, and UPHL.
Both parties hope that there will be follow-up cooperation, both in the field of education, animal laboratory, and community service. (AP/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
