LKST IPB University Holds Monev for Startup Recipients of PRIME STeP 2024 Incubation Program Funds
Institute of Science and Technology Area (LKST) IPB University conducted internal monitoring and evaluation (monev) to the recipients of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Loan 4272-INO Startup Incubation Program funds: Promoting Research and Innovation Through Modern And Efficient and Technology Parks Project (PRIME STeP) Year 2024. This activity was held at the StartUp Center Building, IPB Taman Kencana, Bogor (28/10).
Chief of LKST IPB University, Prof Erika B Laconi said that this monev was held to ensure that each startup funded was able to develop optimally according to the target set.
“Hopefully, the results of this monev can provide valuable insights for future startup development, both in terms of financial management, marketing, and product innovation,” she said.
Vice Chief of LKST IPB University in the field of Business Incubation and Industrial Partnership, Prof Rokhani said that the monev program for PRIME STeP startup incubation this year included nine participants who received funding from ADB. According to him, the main focus of this monev is to evaluate the substance of the program, the results of the initial selection, and the progress achieved by each startup.
“We will review the achievement of each target based on the action plan compiled in their proposal, and ascertain the extent to which the plan has been realized. In addition, we will assess startup performance from various aspects, including business concept development, increasing the number of workers, and adding resources that support business expansion,” said Prof Rokhani in his speech.
Prof Rokhani continued that LKST IPB University will assist startups in developing competitive and sustainable products, both in terms of legality and market aspects.
“Through this program, it is hoped that each startup can achieve its target and expand its positive impact on local and national economic growth,” he said.
Assistant of Business Incubation Division of LKST IPB University, Deva Primadia Almada, SPi, MSi said that this monev will look at the use of funds in detail.
He said the reviewer would evaluate the substance of the program with a focus on the output that had been achieved and the action plan that had been carried out. “The results of this monev will be reported through several main documents, namely monev minutes and progress report documents,” he said.
The reviewers of this internal monev were IPB University Business School lecturer, Muchamad Bachtiar, STP, MM and Independent Commissioner of PT BLST, Dr Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf. In addition, the monev was attended by several auditors from the IPB University Internal Audit Office. (dr/Rz) (IAAS/Aly)
