LKPE IPB University and Pakuan University Hold International Certification Program for Lecturers
The Institute for Leadership and Executive Education (LKPE) IPB University in collaboration with Certiport, one of the world’s leading global certification providers, again shows its commitment in encouraging the improvement of the quality of educators in Indonesia by organizing the International Certification Program.
This time, Pakuan University Vocational School lecturers as participants in this program. A total of 10 lecturers participated in the certification program consisting of Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB), Project Management Ready (PMI), IT Specialist, IC3 Digital Literacy, and Meta Digital Marketing.
The program aims to help lecturers achieve international competency standards in technology and digital skills that are increasingly needed in the modern world of education.
Dean of Pakuan University Vocational School, Dr Tjut Alawiyah Zuraiyah welcomed this opportunity and hoped that this certification could improve the competence and renewability of lecturers in the field of teaching. “Through this certification process, we hope that lecturers can improve their expertise and knowledge in certain fields, which of course can help in their career development,” she said.
Dr Pria Sembada, Vice Chief of LKPE IPB University in the field of Certification and Competence said that this activity was a form of cooperation between IPB University and Pakuan University in supporting the main performance indicators (IKU) of higher education. “In the future, this activity is not only for lecturers, but can be carried out by students so that they are more mature in preparing portfolios towards future employment,” he concluded.
This activity received high enthusiasm from Pakuan University Vocational School lecturers, who realized the importance of having international certifications to support their future career paths. One of the participants, Fikri Adzikri, ST, MT from the Bachelor of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Study Program at Pakuan University Vocational School said, “Participation in this certification program is an important step for us.”
“International certification not only improves our competence as lecturers, but also provides the recognition needed to compete on a global level. We hope that this certification can improve the quality of our teaching and prepare students for the challenges in the industry,” he hoped.
In this activity, lecturers can directly know the results of the certification test at the end of the session, and it is possible to get a real-time evaluation of competence. This experience not only provides international certification but also an overview and strategic steps in shaping the future of education in Indonesia that is more innovative and globally competitive.
