Employees of LKST IPB University Follow the Socialization and Awareness of HSE through PRIME STeP Program
Employee representatives from 12 buildings located in the Science and Technology Area Institute (LKST) of IPB University at Taman Kencana Campus, Bogor participated in the Socialization and Awareness of Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health (K3L). This socialization is part of the Promoting Research and Innovation Through Modern and Efficient Science and Technopark (PRIME STeP) program in 2024.Â
Ir Budi Purwanto, ME, Chief of IPB University’s Risk Management Office in his speech conveyed the basis for the socialization in the Science Techno Park (STP) IPB University environment. One of the legal bases is Government Regulation (PP) Number 50 of 2012 concerning the Implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System.
He added that the implementation of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Management System (SMK3L) in the STP IPB University area is important. Because, in this area there are activities that involve more than 100 people. Therefore, it needs an integrated system that is done together to achieve goals well.
“The implementation of SMK3L in the STP IPB university area is important in order toÂ
create a safe and healthy work environment, prevent accidents and environmental incidents, and support the sustainability of operations at LKST,” he added.
In addition, he continued, IPB University also has a strong commitment related to the implementation of HSE as stated in the Rector Decree 248/ IT3/2020.
“The implementation of K3L will support the reputation of IPB University as a university that cares about the environment, social, and governance (ESG), and realizes a sustainable work environment,” he explained.
Furthermore, Prof Erika Budiarti Laconi, Chief of LKST IPB University in her speech appealed to all office and industry managers in the STP area to be aware of HSE.
Prof Erika emphasized the importance of all managers in the STP area to jointly maintain cleanliness, beauty, and environmental safety. She strongly supports the actualization of HSE documents to be implemented according to applicable regulations.
“We must be disciplined in implementing cleanliness, security, and safety of the STP area environment. This is a state asset that we must protect together,” she said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
