BSC IPB University Board for 2024-2025 Period Inaugurated, Ready to Fill the Momentum of Indonesia’s Golden Generation
Bogor Science Club (BSC) IPB University held the inauguration of the new management for the period 2024-2025 which was coupled with a working meeting at Satari Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus.
The inauguration of the new BSC board was attended by the Dean of the Graduate School (SPs) of IPB University, Prof Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat and several representatives from the Postgraduate Student Forum (Forum Wacana), postgraduate student institutions, scholarship organizations, and regional organizations within the scope of IPB University.
“As an integral part of IPB University, we are committed to providing high-quality postgraduate education that not only explores academic potential, but also trains students to become entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators in the agricultural, marine, and tropical bioscience sectors,” explained Prof Dodik in his opening remarks.
He also emphasized IPB University’s commitment in maintaining the quality climate of postgraduate education. One form of this commitment is the implementation of layered selection for each publication starting from the department, faculty, to postgraduate level.
“The role of organizations is very important in improving the quality of research and publications, especially in fighting predatory journals. The main value in research and science is honesty. I hope through BSC, this movement can be realized,” added the Dean.
BSC Chair, Aulia Furqon, said that the inauguration of the new board was a serious step to give a good impact and fill the momentum of Indonesia’s golden generation with works in the field of research and publication.
“The inauguration is the first step for BSC to give impact to our alma mater, religion, and nation. We believe that the future of education must include technology and social transformation to create a significant impact in the real world,” Furqon said.
Furqon added that BSC cadres are ready to face global challenges, lead change, and contribute to addressing critical issues in agriculture, marine, and tropical biosciences. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
