A professor from IPB University’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (IKK), Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema), Prof Euis Sunarti, has been honored with the National Female Figure Award for Dedication in Family Development.

This award is a form of appreciation from the National Alliance of Women Concerned for Indonesia (ALPPIND) to figures in Indonesia who have played crucial roles and taken significant steps in realizing better family welfare.

The award was presented to Prof Euis by Prof Din Syamsuddin during the ALPPIND National Conference (Munas) at the Nusantara II Building of the House of Representatives of Indonesia (DPR RI) on August 30.

According to this IPB University Family Expert, the award is a mandate and a symbol of the importance of the role of family experts, activists, and practitioners in striving to create prosperous families in Indonesia.

“This award symbolizes the recognition of the crucial role of family experts and practitioners in family development. Moreover, it is an acknowledgment of the long journey of advocating for the importance of family development education, which has been ongoing,” stated Prof Euis.

She further added that this award serves as motivation and encouragement for her to continue contributing to the field of family development in Indonesia, aiming to achieve the ultimate goal of prosperous families throughout the nation.

“Through this award, I interpret it as a push and renewed spirit to remain consistent in advocacy for family development in Indonesia, as well as strengthening networks through movements that promote family well-being across the country,” Prof Euis continued.

Prof Euis hopes that more scientific research on families in Indonesia will emerge, leading to new discoveries that can serve as both references and breakthroughs in achieving successful family development, ultimately contributing to prosperous families in Indonesia. (IAAS/RUM)
