IPB University Graduate School LPDP Awardees Hold Mental Health Seminar
Awardees of the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) of the Postgraduate School (SPs) of IPB University or commonly called the LPDP IPB 11.0 Village held a Welcoming Awardee and Mental Health Seminar with the theme ‘Get Ready for Post Grad Life: Unleash Your Potential with Healthy Mind and Soul’.
The activity took place at Andi Hakim Nasution Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus (24/8). This activity was also filled with the commemoration of the 11th anniversary of LPDP SPs IPB University.Â
The purpose of this activity was to welcome LPDP awardees who started lectures in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year and provide knowledge about the importance of maintaining mental health during studies at SPs IPB University. The activity was attended by 178 awardees, consisting of new awardees and awardees from various generations from across master and doctoral study programs.
Prof Deni Noviana, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs of IPB University, said that the academic journey that the awardees will take at SPs IPB University is not limited to the degree to be obtained, but other major achievements, such as developing soft skills to become a useful person.
“This skill development is so that you can survive and become leaders of change by strengthening character, strengthening integrity, becoming true learners with a growth mindset, focusing on future practice and strengthening techno-sociopreneurship which is the vision of IPB University,” he said in a separate statement.
Prof Yusli Wardiatno, Vice Dean of SPs IPB University in the field of Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni added that awardees can continue to advance and adapt to academic challenges. For him, continuing to study to higher education is a good effort to prepare for the future.
“We hope that these awardees can complete their studies on time. In addition, they can actively contribute to academic and non-academic activities by upholding integrity and ethics,” he added.
Dodi Fanhalen Siregar, SSi, Vice Coordinator of LPDP IPB 11.0 Awardees, said that the LPDP SPs IPB University Village is here to help awardees if they have problems both related to academics and non-academics.Â
“The increase in the number of LPDP awardees at IPB University, of course, can contribute to the Indonesian state after completing their studies,” he added.
The next activity was filled with material presentation from Gendro Hartono, SE, MM, Chief of LPDP Scholarship Services Division by encouraging awardees to maximize their potential through the education they receive.Â
“We emphasize that these awardees have responsibilities as scholarship recipients, namely being able to graduate on time and being able to maintain mental health and manage finances well,” he said.
Meanwhile, seminar speaker Annisa Dwi Astuti, MPsi, Psychologist from Adult Clinical Psychologist discussed the importance of maintaining mental health. She explained that the sources of stress that can be experienced by students can come from themselves, other people, the environment, and digital technology.
“For tips on caring for student mental health, including finding your why, applying mindful techniques, and doing self-care activities,” she said. (HBL/Rz) (IAAS/HLF)
