Leaders of universities throughout Asia and their staff visited the IPB Future Museum and Gallery. This visit is one of a series of activities in the 13th Asian Universities Forum (AUF) event entitled ‘Advancing Innovation and Universities Industry Partnership to Shape Higher Education’.

This year, IPB University was trusted to host the AUF. This forum presents representatives of AUF members from various countries in the Asian continent. The arrival of AUF participants to the IPB Future Museum and Gallery was accompanied by the Chancellor of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria and the Global Connectivity Directorate team.

“These guests are delegates of the 13th AUF event. There are 42 participants from 17 universities in the Asian region participating in this event,” said Dr Eva Anggraini, Director of Global Connectivity of IPB University during a visit to the IPB Future Museum and Gallery.

Before starting the museum tour, the AUF participants were divided into two groups. This division is done to facilitate the tour and provide a more personal experience during the visit. The tour lasts around 20-25 minutes, participants are accompanied by educators and curators who provide detailed explanations about the museum’s collections and information about the history of IPB University from time to time, the development of this institution to date, and hopes for the future.

On this occasion, the Vice Chairperson of the Institute Information Management and Digital Transformation (LMITD) and Chairperson of the IPB Future Museum and Gallery, Dr Syafitri Hidayati, also accompanied the group of AUF participants during the tour. Participants were invited to tour the entire museum area, including area J which discussed various collaborations that have been carried out by IPB University.

“This room tells about the five major collaborations carried out by IPB University, both government-to-government and university-to-university collaborations,” explained Dr Syafitri to the AUF delegates while in the collaboration area.

Furthermore, Dr Syafitri expressed her hopes, “Hopefully IPB University can establish successful cooperation with the AUF delegate campuses in the future, create brilliant achievements, and become part of the history written in the IPB Future Museum and Gallery.”

The synergy between these universities, she said, is expected to open up new opportunities for innovation and broader scientific development, strengthen the role of IPB University in the academic world, and encourage more significant contributions at the global level.

During the visit to the IPB Future Museum and Gallery, the AUF delegates can try out various existing facilities. One of them is playing Virtual Campus Tour (VCT). VCT is a superior service owned by the IPB Future Museum and Gallery. AUF participants can see the entire IPB University campus area through VCT without having to visit the location in person. AUF activity participants can also explore the entire digital collection belonging to the IPB Future Museum and Gallery.

At the end of the visit session, the AUF delegates gathered in the museum lobby area for a group photo session. As a souvenir typical of IPB University, the delegates were given hats produced by Botani Merchandise. The hat is a souvenir that reflects the identity of IPB University and is a symbol of friendship and collaboration that has been established between IPB University and the AUF delegation participants.
