IPB University was selected as the recipient of the program ‘Promoting Research and Innovation through Modern and Efficient Science and Techno Park (PRIME SteP): Development of Science and Technology Park’ for the period 2023-2027. This program is financed through Overseas Loans and/or Grants (PHLN) from Asian Development Bank (ADB).

As part of the implementation of the program, IPB University organises a Workshop on the Preparation of RAB, Action Plan, and Output. This workshop is intended for participants who have been recommended by the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Innovation Research Improvement Program and the Startup Incubation and Acceleration Program in 2024.

Chief of LKST IPB University, Prof Erika B Laconi, stated that this workshop is a strategic step to support the development of research and innovation in Indonesia. “I am very proud that we can participate in this program. The workshop that we held aims to strengthen the ability of participants in preparing effective budget plans (RAB), planning strategic actions, and achieving maximum output,” she said.

Prof Erika also said that IPB University has always been the best campus in the field of research and innovation. “Many universities recognise the greatness of IPB University in research and innovation, they say that only IPB University always accompanies from the beginning to the end of its research and innovation development,” she said.

On the other hand, Assistant in the field of Business Incubator of LKST IPB University, Deva Primadia Almada, SPi, MSi, also added that this program is expected to encourage the birth of innovative startups from campus.

“Through this workshop, we hope that participants can be better prepared in facing challenges in the world of business and technology. We also target to increase collaboration between academics, industry, and government to create a better innovation ecosystem,” he explained.

This workshop will be held in several sessions involving experts in the field of project management, research, and technology development. The participants will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop their projects, from planning to implementation. (IAAS/IAN)
