IPB University students who are carrying out the service activities of Real-Thematic Work Lecture (KKNT) Innovation socialize the IPB Digitani and Agricount applications through the Agridifa program in Pasir Tanjung Village, Tanjung Sari District, Bogor Regency, West Java. Through the Agridifa program, KKNT Innovation students provide insight, education, and hands-on practice of the IPB Digitani and Agricount applications.

Rava Raisha Putra, Coordinator of KKNT Inovasi Pasir Tanjung Village said that his team obtained information related to agricultural and plantation constraints and problems experienced by local farmer groups. According to him, farmers experience confusion when there are rare or new problems related to agriculture and plantations. They are not used to dealing with these problems.

In addition, Pasir Tanjung Village farmers also face problems related to the optimization of agricultural land, so a solution is needed to obtain maximum results with minimal effort.

“This makes farming and plantation activities carried out by farmers not optimal. Farmers find it difficult to get information about the problems they are facing,” said Rava.

At the same time, he added that farmer groups do not have the means to obtain information related to agriculture and plantations, so a means is needed to connect farmers to information sources as well as a means to optimize activities related to agriculture and plantations. Therefore, he and his team organized a socialization program of IPB Digitani and Agricount applications, under the name Agridifa program.

“The IPB Digitani application is the answer to the problem of lack of information about agricultural and plantation activities. Through IPB Digitani, farmers can ask the problems they face to IPB University experts,” said Rava.

He added, “Agricount application is the answer to the problem of optimizing agricultural and plantation activities. Through Agricount, farmers can avoid the problem of underestimating and overestimating the planting of seeds, so that agricultural and plantation activities become more optimal.”

The Agridifa program received a positive response from the Pasir Tanjung Village Farmer Group. This activity makes it easier for farmers to obtain valid and accurate information about agricultural and plantation problems. “Hopefully, this kind of work program can continue to make it easier for farmers to understand the latest features of the IPB Digitani and Agricount applications,” said Rava.
