IPB University held a graduation ceremony attended by 800 graduates, consisting of 17 doctoral program graduates, 99 master’s program graduates, 664 bachelor’s degree graduates, and 20 diploma III graduates for the 2024/2025 academic year. The event took place at Grha Widya Wisuda Building, IPB Dramaga Campus, on Wednesday (14/8).

IPB University Rector, Prof Arif Satria, congratulated the graduates who completed their education at IPB University. In his speech, he also shared important messages about facing change.

“We want IPB University alumni to be individuals who can not only lead themselves and others but also lead change and the future,” said Prof Arif.

“Reskilling needs are the skills we have today, but in the next five years, 60 percent of those skills will no longer be relevant. Therefore, our ability as learners to continuously reskill and upskill is crucial,” he added.

Prof Arif continued by explaining that IPB University has developed a microcredential program, a competency certificate that can be used for reskilling. This program is designed to enhance the skills of students and graduates while also serving as additional proof of practical skills.

“We have prepared 17,000 microcredential user accounts for undergraduate and diploma students. This program will add value to IPB University graduates with access to 21,500 microcredential courses available on LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, and Udemy,” explained Prof Arif.

“I hope you will become alumni who continue to support and strengthen your alma mater. Congratulations on joining the IPB University Alumni Association (HA),” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the IPB University Alumni Association, Ir Raden Fathan Kamil, extended his congratulations and best wishes to the graduates. He welcomed the graduates as official members of the IPB University Alumni Association.

“IPB University has instilled in all of us knowledge, competence in action, strong principles, and integrity. This is certainly an important provision, as Prof Arif Satria emphasized earlier,” he said.

“The IPB University Alumni Association continues to work and invites all of us to stand by our beloved alma mater and build that commitment and dedication,” he concluded. (*/Lp) (IAAS/RUM)
