The Risk Management Office (KMR) of IPB University held a Workshop on Monitoring and Strengthening the Implementation of Risk Management. This activity was also a mid-year evaluation and review of the risk profile of work units.

The event took place in the Meeting Room EF, IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Baranangsiang, Bogor. The main objective of the workshop was to monitor and strengthen risk management practices throughout IPB University by reviewing the risk profiles that have been compiled by risk analysts from faculties/schools and work units.

Chief of KMR IPB University, Ir Budi Purwanto, ME explained that during the risk profile review, risk analysts and risk managers from various faculties and units presented their risk profiles. Reviewers emphasized the need for in-depth risk analysis and specific risk statements.

In this workshop, effective strategies were also discussed, including understanding objectives, identifying critical points, and preparing anticipatory steps. In addition, Budi also highlighted the importance of benchmarking and internalization within units.

“IPB University remains committed to excellence, and this workshop is part of the journey towards an outstanding institution,” he said.

From this workshop there are three follow-up points that are commitments. First, self-measurement. After this workshop, each work unit will conduct self-measurement related to the implementation of risk management. This aims to ensure that the steps taken are in accordance with the plan and effective in managing risk.

“Second, establishing recommendations for risk management maturity. This workshop will provide recommendations and suggestions to improve risk management maturity in each unit. By understanding the maturity level, IPB University can continue to improve risk management practices,” he continued.

The third is awarding as a form of appreciation. Budi said that units that achieve their targets and end-of-year goals will be awarded. “This is a form of appreciation for their efforts in managing risk well,” he said.

In the event, KMR IPB University reviewed the risk profiles that have been compiled by risk analysts from various faculties/schools and work units. Reviewers provided input and suggestions for improving the results of risk analysis. (*/Rz) (IAAS/EXC)
