IPB University Announces Participants who Passed the Selection of Student Council Chairperson, PIN and BUD Pathways
IPB University announced the names of participants who passed IPB University through the Student Council Chairperson pathway, the International and National Achievement (PIN) pathway and the Regional Envoy Scholarship (BUD) pathway on Tuesday, 9/7.
“From a total of 816 applicants for the Undergraduate Student Council Chairperson pathway and 117 applicants for the Vocational School (SV) Student Council Chairperson, as many as 249 people passed the Undergraduate Student Council Chairperson selection and 58 people passed the SV Student Council Chairperson selection,” said IPB University Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana.
The Student Council Chairperson pathway is an independent selection pathway of IPB University which is specifically intended for Student Council Chairpersons in Indonesia. This scheme was developed to find prospective students who have proven to have a leadership spirit as student council chairman during high school. They are also required to have adequate academic abilities to be educated at IPB to become prospective leaders with intellectual and high integrity.
“The prospective students will get leadership training, entrepreneurship and other training. Through this scheme, it is expected to produce prospective leaders who lead with a scientific approach, or apply scientific based leadership,” said Prof Deni.
“Meanwhile, as many as 148 people passed the PIN Bachelor pathway and 55 people passed the PIN SV pathway after competing in the selection which was attended by 1269 PIN Bachelor applicants and 235 PIN SV,” he added.
The PIN pathway is a pathway that provides opportunities for high school / equivalent or vocational school graduates with outstanding achievements in extracurricular activities. Those who can apply are students who excel in competitions at the international and national levels. Among others in scientific work competitions, maths, physics, chemistry, biology, informatics, sports, hafizh, scouting and art.
“For the BUD pathway announced today, from a total of 350 applicants, as many as 153 people passed the Undergraduate BUD pathway and followed by (89) applicants as many as 43 people passed the SV IPB University BUD pathway this year,” said Prof Deni.
BUD is an admission path for new IPB University students who are recommended and financed by the central government, local government, companies or private institutions. Graduates of this program are expected to return to the region to develop their place of origin.
Director of Education Administration of IPB University, Dr Utami Dyah Syafitri added, all prospective new students from the OSIS Chair, PIN and BUD pathways were asked to register through the registration.admisi.ipb.ac.id page. “If there are difficulties, you can contact hello.admisi.ipb.ac.id,” she said.
