Innovation Real-Thematic Work Lecture IPB University Students Open Donations to Care for Sidamulya Fire

On June 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., two houses in Sidamulya Village, Warureja Subdistrict, Tegal Regency, Central Java were burned down. While one house near to the location of the fire was partially burned. The incident occurred in RT 06 / RW 01 Sidamulya Village.

According to radartegal.com, the total loss reached Rp500 million, which includes two houses and furniture, including 5 tons of unhulled rice or dry rice also burned down.

The sad news made the hearts of IPB University students who were undergoing the Innovation Real-Thematic Work Lecture (KKNT Innovation) program in the area, moved to make open donations to all residents in Warureja District.

Students of KKNT Innovation IPB University Kendayakan Village consisting of Dewi Sukma Inderawati, Adiba Fairuz Syakira, Novan Renno Syahputra, Fadhlurrahman Habibi, Dinda Anggraini, Dearlyn Merry Christine T, Reza Putri Yuliana R, and Aurellia Farrelyn Putri participated in helping by going to the field to hold open donations.

The field work was carried out in three different hamlets, namely Kendayakan Hamlet, Kebandingan Hamlet, and Bandung Hamlet. This activity was also supported by village officials who came to help the open donation process in the field.

“The people of Kendayakan Village were very enthusiastic to help with the open donation process, resulting in donations of Rp472,000 from Kendayakan Village, Rp430,000 from Kebandingan Village and Rp882,500 from Bandung Village. The total donation obtained in Kendayakan Village amounted to Rp1,784,500,” said Dewi Sukma.

Dewi said, the amount of donations indicates that the people of Kendayakan Village have a high sense of concern. The donation was also a tool to spread information about the fire disaster in Sidamulya Village.

“When some students of KKNT Innovation IPB University Kendayakan Village conducted door-to-door open donations, the people of this village still did not know the information about the fire that occurred in Sidamulya Village,” she said.

The total donations obtained were distributed directly to the people affected by the fire disaster in Sidamulya Village. (*/Rz) (IAAS/EXC)
