IPB University continues to strengthen its commitment to inclusive education by providing supportive facilities and learning environments for students with disabilities. Putri Najla Rasyidah, a student with hearing disabilities, shared her experience studying at IPB University’s School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB).

Putri revealed, “College at IPB University Alhamdulillah I’m happy, I’m tired because I participate in many activities such as committees, organisations but I enjoy and enjoy college activities,” she said.

Putri is also a smart figure. The achievement of the Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) is fairly high. As a person with disabilities, Putri admitted that she faced several difficulties, especially when the campus situation was busy. “If the campus environment is very crowded, it is a little difficult for me to focus on listening to the person who is talking. Even so, I feel that the facilities on the campus are very helpful to be able to adapt well,” she explained.

She said that during her lecture activities she used a hearing aid. “In addition to hearing aids, the facilities in the classroom are also good enough to help me in hearing such as microphones and speakers so that it makes it easier for me to hear the lecturer’s voice when teaching,” explained Putri.

Putri hopes that the IPB University campus will continue to complete various disability support facilities in order to create a comfortable learning environment and support study success. (Lp) (IAAS/STD)
