Students of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) of IPB University batch 58 participated in the release of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) on 1/6 at the IPB Dramaga Campus. The Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) IPB University in 2024 will last for two months.

SKHB IPB University deployed 175 students spread across two provinces with concentrations in two cities, namely Lampung and Sukoharjo. Some international students take part in regular KKNT in Indonesia, while others do KKNT in their home country.

KKNT is carried out as a form of learning for students to live in society, identify and deal with problems faced with an agricultural approach in a broad sense.

Dr Ninuk Purnaningsih, lecturer at the Department of Communication Science and Community Development of IPB University, delivered the debriefing material “Professional Extension and Communication for Veterinary Public Health”.

She stated that this year’s KKNT was integrated with various IPB University programs in 2024. “This year will be the year of SKHB IPB University’s service to the community,” said Ninuk.

Meanwhile, the Dean of SKHB IPB University, drh Amrozi, in his speech said that KKNT is a place for students to exchange ideas and experiences with the community.

“KKNT becomes a forum for students to collaborate between disciplines with students from various study programs and transfer technology with the community,” he said.

drh Amrozi then continued, KKNT also trains students to make real contributions in the community through various activities and work programs, so as to produce graduates who care and are ready to enter the community. “I hope that the presence of students in the area can have a positive impact on the local community,” he said.
