IPB University Leadership Dormitory Holds Leadership General Lecture, Presenting Inspirational Students
IPB Leadership Dormitory successfully held a Studium Generale Leadership event on 8/6 at the Jannes Humuntal Hutasoit Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus. This event aimed to inspire and strengthen the leadership spirit of students.
The event presented two inspiring speakers namely Zafran Akhmadery, Secretary General of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) World, and Cindy Nur Oktaviani, Indonesian Representative in Communicating For Agriculture Exchange Programme at Sungrow Greenhouse Inc, Albion, New York.
Zafran Akhmadery shared his life journey during his education abroad and how his experience as Secretary General of PPI Dunia shaped his strong leadership skills. He emphasised the importance of having a clear vision and the ability to adapt to various situations as the key to a leader’s success.
“Being a leader is not just about directing others, but also about learning from experience and continuously developing yourself. Dream high and reach for the sky. I hope my story can inspire you to always dare to dream big and take every opportunity available,” Zafran said to the participants with enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, Cindy Nur Oktaviani, who has valuable experience during her time as an Indonesian representative at Sungrow Greenhouse Inc. in New York, shared stories about the challenges and opportunities faced during her time abroad. Cindy explained how the experience has shaped her character and leadership skills.
“Studying abroad gave me a new perspective and a great experience. Through this programme, I learnt the importance of effective communication and collaboration in facing global challenges. Whatever you do, do it consistently. Consistency is the key to achieving goals. I hope my experience can motivate you to continue pursuing your dreams and never be afraid to try new things,” said the outstanding student.
This activity received a warm welcome from the participants who were residents of the IPB University Leadership Dormitory. This interactive discussion not only provided new insights, but also motivated the participants to continue honing their leadership skills.
“This event is very useful for us. Listening to stories from great people like Kak Zafran and Kak Cindy made me more motivated to pursue my dreams. I also got a lot of useful tips on how to develop good leadership skills,” said one of the participants enthusiastically.
IPB University’s Leadership Dormitory is committed to being consistent in preparing the leaders of today and tomorrow. The coaching programmes at IPB University Leadership Dormitory focus on three main aspects: leadership, entrepreneurship, and reputation achievement.
