FPIK IPB University Collaborates with Regal Springs Indonesia, Supporting Blue Food Development
The Faculty of Fisheries and Fisheries Science (FPIK) of IPB University established cooperation with Regal Springs Indonesia (RSI) to support the development of blue food, integrated fisheries, human resources (HR), knowledge and technology. This cooperation was realised with the signing of the Master Cooperation Agreement at Sumardi Sastrakusumah Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus, Wednesday (12/6).
This cooperation agreement was signed by Prof Fredinan Yulianda as Dean of FPIK IPB University and Tri Dharma Saputra, Supply Chain and Procurement Director of Regal Springs Indonesia, witnessed by lecturers and students of FPIK.
In his speech, Prof Fredinan said that Regal Springs Indonesia is the best tilapia exporter today. The collaboration between FPIK IPB University and RSI aims to reduce the problem of stunting in Indonesia and participate in providing protein for the community.
“Hopefully, this collaboration can increase the value of tilapia so that it can advance fisheries in Indonesia,” said Prof Fredinan.
Tri Dharma Saputra also added that this collaboration is not just an agreement on paper, but also a conversion of expertise, knowledge, and resources aimed at achieving real results. “This cooperation exists to develop integrated, sustainable and environmentally friendly fisheries and aquaculture resources,” he said.
This cooperation aims to improve fisheries resources that are integrated, environmentally sound and sustainable. In addition, human resources in the field of fisheries or the development of human resources involved in various aspects of fisheries including in aquaculture, processing, and water management.
The signing ceremony was followed by a public lecture with the theme “Blue Food Movement” by Laurent Develle as Head of Corporate Affairs Regal Springs Group, hosted by Dr Muhammad Gustilatov as moderator. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RUM)
