DPMA IPB University and Indonesia Defense University Discuss Cooperation and Development of Agro Maritime Research
The Directorate of Agro Maritime Community Development (DPMA) of IPB University received a visit from the Indonesian Defense University or Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan). The delegation was led by Vice Rector IV, Major General (Major General) TNI Dr. Susilo Adi Purwantoro.
Also participating in this visit were the Chairman of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), the Chairman of the Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LPPN), and the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the Indonesian Defense University or Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan).
The delegation from the Indonesia Defense University or Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan) was warmly welcomed by the Director of DPMA IPB University, Dr Handian Purwawangsa and his staff. This visit aims to discuss the programs run by both institutions and explore the potential for closer cooperation, especially in the field of research and development of agro maritime communities.
In his speech, Dr Handian expressed his gratitude for the visit of the delegation of the Indonesia Defense University or Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan). He emphasized the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions in facing global challenges.
“We welcome this visit and hope to establish cooperation that is beneficial for both parties, especially in the agro maritime field which is very important for environmental sustainability and community welfare,” he said.
Major General Dr Susilo Adi Purwantoro also expressed his appreciation for the welcome given by DPMA IPB University. He highlighted the importance of synergy between Unhan and IPB University in developing research and programs that can make a real contribution to society.
“This collaboration is expected to produce applicable research and community development programs that have a positive impact,” he added.
This meeting was filled with in-depth discussions related to the programs run by both parties. Delegates from the Indonesia Defense University or Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan) and DPMA IPB University shared information about various ongoing projects and initiatives, and discussed the potential for future collaboration. Some of the topics discussed included agricultural technology development, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment through agromaritime programs.
In addition to the discussion, the delegation was also invited to see the facilities and projects managed by DPMA IPB University. This visit provides a direct picture of the efforts made by IPB University in the field of aeromaritime and the potential that can be developed through cooperation.
With this visit, it is hoped that there will be closer collaboration between the Indonesia Defense University and DPMA IPB University, which will lead to the development of more effective and impactful research and community service programs.
