Build Innovative Synergy, DPMA IPB University and Pesantren Cendekia Amanah Design Revolutionary Cooperation
IPB University through the Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA) collaborated with Yayasan Pesantren Cendekia Amanah to design a revolutionary collaboration in the field of business assistance.
This important meeting was held to discuss the continuation of the cooperation plan between Pesantren Cendekia Amanah and several related pesantren, especially in the fields of fishery commodities and hydroponic vegetables.
The meeting included an in-depth presentation of the cooperation program plan delivered by Dr Mohammad Iqbal Irfany, Assistant Director of Social Entrepreneurship – DPMA IPB University.
In his speech, Dr Iqbal stated, “This cooperation between IPB University and Pesantren Cendekia Amanah is a concrete step in advancing the agribusiness sector among pesantren, as well as strengthening the synergy between higher education institutions and religious education institutions,” he said.
He hopes that with this innovative synergy, the realization of sustainability and economic independence for pesantren through the application of modern agricultural technology. “This collaboration is expected to increase entrepreneurial capacity and food security in the pesantren environment through the application of modern technology in aquaculture and hydroponic vegetable cultivation,” said Dr Iqbal.
Meanwhile, Dr Agus Suprayogi, Chairman of the Yayasan Pesantren Cendekia Amanah expressed his support for this initiative. He said, “We are very enthusiastic about the potential of this collaboration. With the support of IPB University, we believe we can create a business model that is not only sustainable but also provides direct benefits to the pesantren community,” he said.
After the presentation session, meeting participants were invited to visit some of the excellent facilities at IPB University’s Agribusiness and Technology Park (ATP), including the Plant Factory, Green House, and SobaTani. The visit aimed to provide a real picture of the technologies and innovations that could be adopted in this cooperation project.
“The visit to the ATP facilities provided inspiration and new insights for the participants. They had the opportunity to see first-hand the sophisticated and efficient cultivation process implemented at IPB University. Seeing first-hand the technology used here gives us confidence that this cooperation program will be successful and have a significant positive impact,” said Dr Agus. (IAAS/RUM)
