IPB University’s Lecturer Returns Home (Dospulkam) Team launched the ‘Cibest Model Education to Islamic Boarding School’ program. The program, which aims to increase the expansion of mustahik (zakat recipient) services, was held at Nurul Hakim Islamic Boarding School, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

The Cibest model is also a parameter in assessing the quality of life of mustahik after the program, which will contribute to the welfare of mustahik and the measurement of the muzakki (zakat giver) welfare index in Islamic Boarding School that have historical and sociological value personally for lecturers.

“Islamic Boarding School as a traditional Islamic educational institution has an important role in shaping the character and knowledge of the students. Therefore, the program was implemented to provide education on the Cibest model related to the measurement of the mustahik welfare index,” said Muhamad Zidan, one of the Dospulkam IPB University team.

Zidan hopes that through this program, Islamic Boarding School will be able to improve the welfare standards of mustahik through targeted programs in the region.

The Center for Islamic Business and Economic Studies (CIBEST) IPB University is committed to initiating programs that are sustainable and beneficial to the community. This was demonstrated by the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between CIBEST IPB University and Nurul Hakim Islamic Boarding School.

“Thus, this program is not just training, but a sustainable program that is expected to be implemented directly by Islamic Boarding School in improving the welfare of mustahik,” he said.

Zidan added, the ‘Cibest Model Education to Pesantren’ program has several main objectives. First, improving the quality of education. The Islamic Boarding School will share knowledge and innovations with muzakki/Islamic Boarding School’s students to improve the quality of programs provided to mustahik.

“Second, it encourages innovation. The Islamic Boarding School will introduce the Cibest model that includes smart, innovative aspects to muzakki, so that they can adopt best practices. Finally, this program will help the Islamic Boarding School to become more responsive to changing times and global challenges,” said Zidan.

The implementation of the program involves IPB University lecturers and students who have expertise in education, innovation and ethics. They will interact with Islamic Boarding School, provide training and discuss the implementation of the Cibest model.

“CIBEST IPB University through Dospulkam is committed to continuing to contribute to community development. This is one of our real efforts in realizing the improvement of community welfare,” he said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Aly)
