IPB University Won 6 Awards at the ONMIPA-PT 2024 Event
The National Olympiad in Mathematics and Science in Higher Education (ONMIPA-PT) is an annual event organised by the Indonesian Talent Development Centre (BPTI). This year the national level ONMIPA-PT was held at Hasanuddin University, Makassar on 12-17/5.
“The ONMIPA-PT 2024 activity involved 34 judges from 15 institutions and a total of 260 participants from 89 universities throughout Indonesia”, said Dr Eng Amiruddin as the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Hasanuddin.
In this competition, IPB University delegates won four medals consisting of one gold, one silver, two bronze and two honourable mentions. With these results IPB University placed 4th in ONMIPA-PT 2024. IPB University delegates who won the award are:
Rama Vijaya Jhowry (BIK 58) – Gold Medal in the field of Biology
Bagus Sadewo Rizkhar Khan Hidayat (FIS 58) – Silver Medal in Physics
Muchamad Fath Bahrul Ulum (FIS 57) – Bronze Medal in Physics
Heni Rahmawati (FIS 58) – Bronze Medal in Chemistry
Daffa Firdaus (MTK 58) – Honourable Mention in Mathematics
Muhammad Allif Qalbiy (Ilkom 60) – Honorable Mention in Mathematics
Furthermore, Mathematics award winners will get coaching opportunities from the National Achievement Centre (Puspresnas) on 27 May – 5 June 2024 which will then be selected to get the six best olympians to represent Indonesia at the 39th International Mathematics Competition (IMC) in Bulgaria.
