IPB University Actuarial Study Program Re-Processes National Accreditation

IPB University received the field assessment of national accreditation by the Natural Science and Formal Science Self-Accreditation Institute (Lamsama) in the Rector’s Guest Room, IPB Dramaga Campus (13/5). The study program (Prodi) that was nationally accredited was the Bachelor of Actuarial Study Program, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), IPB University. This field assessment lasted for two days, starting on Monday-Tuesday, May 13-14, 2024.

Previously, the Actuarial Study Program of IPB University had received ‘Excellent’ accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana said that this accreditation process is an effort of IPB University to continue to improve the quality of higher education provided to students.

According to him, the success of this process cannot be separated from the extraordinary support from all parties. Accreditation is not only external quality assurance, but also reflects the quality of education and transparency of universities in managing institutions.

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who have provided their full support during the preparation and implementation of the field assessment. This is an important moment in the journey towards improving the quality of education, and we are proud of the cooperation and dedication that has been shown now,” he said.

Lamsama brought in two assessors, Prof Agus Suryanto (Brawijaya University) and Prof I Nyoman Budiantara (Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology). Prof Agus Suryanto expressed his gratitude for the welcome from IPB University. This field assessment is a comprehensive evaluation process to assess the quality, suitability of programs, and existing educational facilities.

“Hopefully the process can run smoothly and without obstacles. Hopefully the results of this assessment can help IPB University to continue to improve the quality of education and services to students.
