HMI Commissariat IPB University Shares Tips and Tricks to Pass the MSIB Program
The Islamic Student Association (HMI) Commissariat of the Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet), Vocational School, and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) IPB University held HMI Talks with the theme of mentoring Internships and Certified Independent Study (MSIB). The event was held at the Golden Corner Canteen of FMIPA on 17/5.
This activity was an initiative of the three Chairpersons of the HMI Commissariat, sucs as Fapet, Vocational School and FMIPA, who were moved by unrest and the desire to activate this association through activities that are beneficial and have a real impact on students. The main purpose of this activity is to share experiences and provide tips and tricks for passing MSIB.
In the talk show session, Dimas, Chief of Media Division of HMI Komisariat Fapet and alumni of MSIB Batch 6 at PT ARA Indonesia, emphasized that the MSIB program provides experiences that are not obtained in the classroom.
“In the MSIB program, I participated in feed processing, housing, and livestock product management activities. This experience is very valuable and can be an important asset when entering the workforce later,” Dimas said.
He hoped that the activity could provide insight and motivation to IPB University students to join the MSIB program, and prepare themselves well to be successful in the selection.
Meanwhile, Navis, an MSIB alumnus at the General Secretariat of the House of Regional Representatives (DPR), explained his experience in seeing first-hand the discussion of laws in the DPR. “The experience gave me a deep understanding of the real life of politicians in the DPR,” said Navis.
During the discussion session, Navis shared simple tips for passing the MSIB. According to him, thorough preparation is the key. “Students need to focus on creating a good CV, completing the necessary files, and preparing for interview sessions. With the right effort and preparation, the opportunity to pass MSIB is very open,” said Navis.
He continued, on this occasion, the speakers also emphasized the importance of being active in organizations as a step to upgrade themselves. “Through involvement in organizations, students can develop various important skills such as public speaking, problem solving, and time management.
