Carrying the theme of “Jelajah Gemilang Persatuan”, the 15th Nusantara Cultural Festival was successfully held by IPB University Vocational School Students
The Digital and Media Communication Study Program, IPB University Vocational School held the 15th Nusantara Cultural Festival on Sunday 19/5 at Bogor City Square. The Nusantara Cultural Festival is an annual event that has become an icon for the Digital and Media Communication Study Program. The event not only showcases a variety of cultures from Sabang to Merauke, but also promotes Indonesian cultural tourism and strengthens local cultural identity.
This year, the festival carries the theme “Jelajah Gemilang Persatuan,” with the aim of educating the public about Indonesia’s rich culture and increasing pride in its priceless cultural heritage. The 15th Nusantara Cultural Festival is also an implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL) applied by students of the Digital Communication and Media Study Program Batch 60.
Cultural Festival Practice Course Coordinator, Rici Tri Harpin Pranata, S KPm M Si explained that this year’s festival focused on digital integration in cultural promotion. She emphasized that the students had been given the task of promoting culture through social media, using QR codes on their stands, so that visitors could later access more information about the culture.
“We are now trying to deepen the digital aspect, so student assignments also go through making digital cultural promotions. At the booths there is a QR code that can be accessed by visitors,” she said.
Rici also explained the changes in the sponsorship mechanism this year, which is different from the previous year. “Last year, sponsorship was charged to the committee’s core team, but this year each small group is responsible for finding sponsors. This is to train soft skills such as communication, negotiation and collaboration,” she explained.
Rici also highlighted the importance of cooperation with Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), which has become an important partner in this year’s festival. Many student groups work closely with Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) to get input on the performances that need to be shown to the public.
“Many student groups work with Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) to get input on the performances that need to be shown to the public. This helps them understand and promote the culture better,” said Rici.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Committee, M Qidam Kusnandar said the Nusantara Cultural Festival activities have helped students to learn and collaborate effectively. “We are very excited to see the results of our hard work over the past few months. This activity really helped us learn how to collaborate and manage a big project like this,” said Qidam. (ASW/Lp) (IAAS/HLF).
