A Total of 30 Foreigners Take The Online Exam for IPB University International Class Entrance Selection
IPB University held an online exam as one of the series of IPB Entrance Selection (SM-IPB) for international classes on (12/5). In wave I, the online exam was attended by 30 applicants from foreign nationals (WNA), consisting of 29 Malaysians and 1 South African citizen.
“The test took place smoothly online using the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) system and was monitored using the Zoom application,” said Dr Windra Priawandiputra, Assistant Director of New Student Admission and Registration, Directorate of Education Administration, IPB University.
The SM-IPB International test consists of a Scholastic Science Test which is Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), Veterinary Test, and English Proficiency Test. The test is conducted in English.
“The test results and selection of IPB University international class for foreigners will be announced on 27 May 2024. Applicants who are accepted at IPB University can prepare documents for re-registration,” explained Dr Windra.
To be known, SM-IPB International is one of the entry points at IPB University. This pathway is specifically for foreigners who want to study at IPB University. Registration for wave II was opened from 6 May to 19 June 2024.
As for Indonesian Citizens (WNI) who want to enter the international class of IPB University can follow the selection of the International WNI Pathway. In contrast to SM-IPB International, the selection of the International Citizen pathway is only based on report card scores and English language skills.
IPB University international class applicants who have passed the selection will be admitted to the study programme chosen during registration. Currently there are 12 study programmes that open international classes, namely Smart Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Food Technology, Agricultural Industrial Engineering, Business, Marine Science and Technology, Management, Agribusiness, Resource and Environmental Economics, Sharia Economics, Biology, and Chemistry.
