IPB University Received a Visit from the Delegation of Adelaide University, Australia
A delegation from Adelaide University, Australia held a visit at IPB University. The visit was received directly by the Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Collaboration and Alumni Relations, Prof Iskandar Zulkarnain in the Rector’s Conference Room, IPB Darmaga Campus, on 18/4.
Prof Iskandar Z Siregar conveyed that IPB University and Adelaide University had long established cooperation. “Now IPB University has a Faculty of Medicine. This is because IPB University already has sciences related to science, environment, forestry and agriculture which are related to the world of medicine, especially since the pandemic that has hit the world,” said Prof Iskandar.
He continued, IPB University will also continue to transform by opening the School of Engineering and the School of Data Science, Mathematics and Informatics. “Several sciences will be developed at IPB University in an effort to respond to the needs of the times,” he said.
Prof Jessica Gallagher, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President (External Engagement) during her visit said that IPB University was growing rapidly. “We want to strengthen cooperation with IPB University in order to realize the equality of opportunity in education at the global level,” she said.
She also said that Adelaide University has the main focus of education and research in the fields of economics, agriculture, environment, science data, public health and public policy.
“We are also planning joint training and continuing existing programs such as student exchange which is packaged in the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program,” said Prof Jessica.
