IPB University Hosts International Women’s Day 2024, Presenting Successful and Inspiring Women
IPB University hosted the International Women’s Day (IWD) campaign by looking at the technology industry segment, Saturday (4/20) at the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University. A total of 637 participants enthusiastically attended the activity organized by Women Techmaker (WTM) Bogor together with Google Developer Group (GDG) Bogor with the theme “Impact the Future”.
Although it was held during the International Women’s Day, this event was not only for women. This event is inclusive for all people who are passionate about the information and technology (IT) industry, including IPB University students, to help advance the technology industry with their ideas and innovations.
“This event is a way to increase public understanding of discrimination and to encourage the spirit of inclusiveness to work in the public sphere and contribute as much as possible to the nation and state,” said IPB University’s Director of International Education, Puji Mudiana, SP, MA, in his speech. “This event is also very much in line with the principles and values of IPB University, so we are proud to be asked to host it,” she added.
IWD 2024 was enlivened by successful and experienced female experts in the technology industry such as Android, Flutter, web, machine learning and cloud. They include Ananda Dwi Rahmawati (Google Developer Expert Cloud, Activate Interactive Pte Ltd), Cendekia Luthfieta Nazalia (Software Engineer and Content Creator – PLN Icon Plus) and Sandra Clarisa (Lead Product Manager – PT Bank Multiarta Sentosa (MAS) Tbk.
Participants were also treated to a series of activities such as Women Founder Talkshow, Technical Talk, Career Fair, and Walk in Interview and Product Showcase. The attendees were given the greatest opportunity to have a career in the IT industry while gaining insights into products, skills and collaboration.
