The Graduate School (SPs) of IPB University and the Agricultural Instrument Standardisation Agency (BSIP) of the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) held a monitoring and evaluation (monev) and discussion of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for study assignment students from BSIP in Mawar Room, SPs IPB Baranangsiang Building, Bogor (23/4). The purpose of this monev was to find out the development of study assignment students from BSIP as well as to get clarification and a more complete picture of the progress of student studies.

This activity was attended by Prof Agus Buono, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Fatmasari Siregar, MM Chief of the Public Relations, Cooperation and New Student Admissions Subdivision, Zukhri ALSA Siregar Chief of the Personnel and General Finance Subdivision, and BSIP representatives, Dr Haris Syahbuddin as Secretary of the BSIP Board and its staff.

Prof Agus Buono expressed his gratitude for the implementation of monev and discussion of PKS with BSIP this time. He said that currently SPs IPB University has developed a development system for monev called the Monitoring and Evaluation System (SIMONEV) which can be accessed through the page https://simonev-pasca.ipb.ac.id.

“The purpose of SIMONEV is to increase the acceleration of graduation for master’s and doctoral programmes on a regular basis so that students, supervisors and study programmes can see the progress of their students’ studies,” he said.

Prof Agus added, SPs IPB University has several entry points, namely regular programme by course, programme by research and special implementation programme. He explained, programme by research is a master’s or doctoral education programme with a curriculum focus on research.

“This programme is intended to provide opportunities for researchers and practitioners who have a track record of research and publications in certain relevant fields by continuing to pursue research in their institutions while studying at SPs IPB University,” he added.

Prof Agus explained the discussion of the PKS that will be prepared by SPs IPB University and BSIP which can be implemented for the next semester. With the PKS, students on study assignments can be monitored for their progress every semester.

“We hope that with this monev and PKS discussion, it can provide maximum benefits to all parties, both SPs IPB University, BSIP and students, so that it can facilitate the study of BSIP scholarship programme students,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Dr Haris Syahbuddin conveyed that for the study assignments from BSIP there are currently around 28 students both taking doctoral and master’s programs and with the monev and discussion of PKS this time will provide benefits for BSIP.

“I hope that with the scheduled monev, if there is a development of the latest information and regulations we can immediately find out and we will follow in accordance with the regulations that have been applied by SPs IPB University for students on study assignments from BSIP,” he added.
