Weihai-China Delegation Explore Cooperation with LKST IPB University
Institute of Science and Technology Park (LKST) or Science Techno Park (STP) IPB University received a visit from Weihai City Government-China accompanied by the Chairman of Project Consultant Promoting Research and Innovation Through Modern and Effect Science and Technology Parks Project (PRIMESTeP) Asian Development Bank (ADB), Michael Chong on Tuesday, 5/3.
The purpose of the visit was to explore collaboration between the Weihai City government and IPB University related to education and business development.
Chairperson of Institute of Science and Technology Park IPB University, Prof Erika B Laconi welcomed the plan to explore the collaboration to be implemented. On this occasion, Erika presented a brief profile and work program of Science Techno Park IPB University.
“We will immediately convey the results of today’s meeting to the Rector of IPB University, and hopefully this collaboration can be immediately poured into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Weihai City Government and the Rector of IPB University, and then derived in a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA),” she said.
Liu Shujun, Deputy Secretary of Weihai Municipal Committee conveyed an overview of Weihai City which is known as the cleanest and most comfortable city in China. “Several cooperation opportunities are possible for us to do together, including in the fields of fisheries, agriculture, research, innovation, startups and Human Resources (HR),” Liu added.
After the discussion, the Weihai City Government group was invited to tour the facilities and facilities of STP IPB University including the innovation gallery, Teaching Industry Building, and Startup Center (GSC) Building. The visiting group also took the time to discuss with several inwall startups at the GSC regarding product development collaboration and market expansion.
The visit was attended by Weihai Municipal Committee, Weihai Municipal People’s Government Foreign Affairs Office, Weihai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Weihai Council for the Promotion of International Trade Party Group, Weihai Global partner business Center, and International Liaison Department of CCPIT.
