CTSS IPB University Receives Visit from Multimedia Nusantara University to Develop SDGs Centre
The Centre for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) IPB University received a visit from the Communication Science Study Programme (Prodi), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN). The visit was in order to explore the possibility of cooperation that can be established by both parties.
Prof Damayanti Buchori, Chairperson of Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) IPB University welcomed the arrival of the Multimedia Nusantara University team. He explained that Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) IPB University is ready to assist the establishment of the SDGs Centre at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. “CTSS IPB University is ready to assist UMN in the establishment of the SDGs Centre,” she said.
Prof Damayanti explained, in the formation of the SDGs Centre, a name that sells and is easily known is needed. She also mentioned that when a new institution is formed, it must immediately have activities that can be carried out. Activities such as seminars, research, and consultancy.
“With the activities that are carried out, it forces the newly formed team in the SDGs centre to be solid, because if there are no activities carried out, it will be difficult to unite the team,” he said.
Meanwhile, Cendera Rizky Anugrah Bangun, MSi, Chairman of UMN’s Communication Science Study Program, explained that his team came to learn about the formation of the SDGs Centre. Not only that, he and his team also wanted to hear and learn about the team managerial in Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) IPB University.
“We want to form UMN’s SDGs Centre, so our visit is to learn how the SDGs Centre is managed at IPB University,” said Cendera Rizky.
He said that the achievements of sustainable development goals (SDGs) need to be conveyed to the public in an appropriate language style. “This opportunity is what we want to fill so we want to form an SDGs Centre.
