SKHB IPB University Collaborates with Banjarbaru Veterinary Centre
School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) of IPB University received a visit from the Banjarbaru Veterinary Centre, South Kalimantan on Tuesday, 20/2 in order to initiate cooperation between the two parties.
Dr Drh Amrozi, the Dean of SKHB IPB University, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the state-of-the-art facilities available at SKHB. Among these facilities is the Assisted Reproductive Technology Laboratory and Bio-Bank dedicated to Sumatran Rhinos and other priority animals.
During the visit, Drh Putut Eko Wibowo, the Chairman of Banjarbaru Veterinary Centre, articulated the purpose of the collaboration, emphasizing the focus on educational and research initiatives. The collaboration aims to execute educational activities, research projects, community service endeavors, and resource capacity building within the veterinary and biomedical fields. This collaborative effort is projected to span from 2024 to 2029.
The key component of this collaborative venture was a comprehensive discussion between SKHB IPB University and Banjarbaru Veterinary Centre, culminating in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU outlines the terms and objectives of the collaboration, solidifying the commitment of both parties to engage in joint educational and research endeavors.
Notable attendees at the event included Drh Putut Eko Wibowo, accompanied by Banjarbaru Veterinary Centre staff members Drh Harwanto and Ilham Widyawan. From SKHB IPB University, participants included Dr Arifin Budiman Nugraha, Dr Diah Nugrahani Pristihadi, who serves on the SKHB IPB University Cooperation Commission, and Vera Nora Indra Astuti, the Chair of Administration at SKHB IPB University, along with other dedicated staff members.
