Fapet IPB University Collaborates with PT Bright International, Discusses Alumni Scholarships

Faculty of Animal Sciences (Fapet) IPB University has agreed to collaborate with PT Bright International. The signing of the cooperation agreement was held in the Fapet Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor, on Monday, 19/2. After the signing of the cooperation, the activity continued with a discussion related to the scholarship plan.

Vice Dean of Fapet IPB University for Resources, Cooperation and Development, Dr Sri Suharti said that this cooperation is cooperation in the fields of education, research and community service.

“PT Bright International will provide internship facilities at the innovation-focused company that supplies and manufactures a wide range of products used in the animal health and animal nutrition industry,” Dr Sri said.

Dr Idat Galih Permana, Dean of Fapet IPB University said, “This cooperation can be multi-activity in nature, for the scholarship scheme, the scholarship funds will be collected in the Animal Husbandry Student Alumni Association (Hanter). We coordinate through the department to find out the condition of students, by involving the Student Executive Board (BEM) and a team from the faculty to evaluate,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Riza Haerudin, President Director of PT Bright International, which initiated the cooperation and scholarship, said that the scholarship plan was based on his personal experience in college.

“Based on my experience in college, not all students can have the same level of sustenance, some are entrusted to us, so I hope that this scholarship can last in the long term, not just medicine for every semester,” said Riza.

Riza who is also an alumnus of Fapet IPB University was present with the Chairman of Hanter, Arifin Shidhik, he said, “We gather in a very positive atmosphere, the provision of this scholarship is an extraordinary step, hopefully it can inspire and be followed by other alumni,” explained Arifin who is also the Director of AS Putra Group.

Also present were the Secretary General (Sekjen) of Hanter, Dr Iyep Komala with the Treasurer, Wisnu Brata Ratning S. This cooperation and discussion was also attended by the leaders of Fapet IPB University and its staff, namely the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof Irma Isnafia Arief and the Chairman of Departments, which were Prof Asep Gunawan and Dr Heri Ahmad Sukria.
